Pembrokeshire Attractions

Pembroke Castle is one of the most fun and educational Pembrokeshire attractions you will find. We are open most days of the year and offer group tours which are great for schools, or just a group of friends to enjoy a bit of history which is brought to life with various events that take place around the castle on a daily basis.
There are many Pembrokeshire attractions that you could choose from but none would be as cheap, fun and educational as Pembroke Castle. For just £10 a family of four (2 adults and 2 children under 16) can enjoy a full day out here at the Castle taking in the views, walking through the exhibition rooms, perhaps make your own brass rubbing as a souvenir of your day out. You can also relax in the grounds and take refreshments from the snack bar or perhaps bring your own picnic.
Pembroke Castle is situated on the banks of the river estuary and poses an imposing site which must have put the fear of God into any approaching invaders. The castle still looks a wonderful site as you approach even after nearly standing for 1000 years. The castle is largely intact and is the largest privately owned castle in Wales.
The castle has a huge number of passages, stairways and tunnels for you to explore and there are many ever changing exhibitions, which are designed to show visitors of the castle just what life would have been like in medieval times.
