Pembroke castle is to be found at the west end of Main Street in Pembroke town centre. There is a bus service to the castle entrance from Tenby, Haverfordwest, Milford Haven and a connection from Carmarthen. The train station, at the east end of the town, is within walking distance of the castle, or there are taxis locally. There is a very short steep entrance to the castle reception and gift shop, then the drive levels out. At the shop entrance there are two steps with a handrail to the left.
The trustees hope that all visitors to the castle have a worthwhile experience, however, it is appreciated that those with disabilities may experience some difficulties, therefore, we hope the following information will enable everyone to get the most out of their visit.
There is a setting-down point at the entrance and public parking close-by with disabled spaces. Wheelchair users with assistance and those with limited mobility will be able to access the site at ground floor level where there are information panels and benches provided, including a picnic area.
A portable ramp is always offered to aid access into the gift shop and for those with hearing impairment there is an induction loop at reception and in the video room. All dogs on leads are admitted into the castle. Our trained staff are glad to be of assistance at all times.
