The Chancery or County Court

Turn right out of the Keep entrance and on your right the remains of a late 13th or early 14th century gabled building will be seen. Outlines of the high-pitched roof can be traced. This section of the building was recorded in 1331. It was the part of the castle where business would be conducted, accounts kept and where the county court of palatinate was held.
